Part I, I
ReplyDeleteCapuccino sat alone at a small dock near her family's house.
She felt a small tug at her fishing pole and pulled it immediately from the clear waters, with a Tuna gripping her hook. She dropped the large fish into her bucket, joining a few small minnows. " That should be enough for dinner " She said. Capuccino left the dock and walked home. She took the small key hidden away in her fluffy scarf and unlocked the door. "Caps! You're back!" her younger sister, Marissa, exclaimed excitedly. "Yup, and with dinner too." Capuccino replied. She left her bucket at the kitchen floor for her mother, Lostfairy, to prepare. "When will Da be home?" Marissa asked. "Soon." She said. Then Lostfairy came in. " I only need the Tuna. You can take the Minnows to Da." "Alright, Marissa, let's go get this to Da." Caps said. "Alright!" Marissa seemed to be excited for everything. The sisters got on their bikes, Capuccino's having a small basket for delivery, which in this case was useful to store the bucket of fish. The two rode along a small rode to the marketplace in the center of District 4.
Da's stall was right near the entrance." Da! We've got some minnows for your market!" Their father, Jackyboy213547425003810, looked over "nic jub, thes wil sill 4 nut muc, bat we wil stil git munney." He told them. "inn fect, itt iz tim 2 goo hum nouw" So the father and his 2 daughters rode home for dinner.

DeleteWhen they came home, they were greeted by the smell of roast fish. "Dinner is served." Lostfairy told them. "Mmmm" Marissa commented. They sat down at the dinner table and ate. Then Da brought up the Reaping. " remembr, teh reeping iis 2muroww, moom probbly haz fenci cloothes 4 us" He said. "As a matter of fact, I do."Lostfairy told them. "Now, eat up, you two." Da and Mum had already finished eating, and Capuccino was almost done. Marissa was listening so intently that she had barely taken a bite. Once the two had finished eating, they went to bed.

DeleteThe following morning, Capuccino was waken up by her mother. "Caps, Time to wake up. The Reaping's today." She said. " What about Marissa?" Capuccino asked tiredly. " She's already up. I went to the store earlier and got you an outfit."." Alright." "District 9 bread for breakfast."
Everyone knew that District 9 made the best bread. Their District may have been a dried up ocean, but it turned out the grain they somehow grew made amazing bread. Capuccino left the bedroom that she and Marissa shared and went down for breakfast. Lostfairy was right, bread from District 9 was on the table. You could tell because it had a small 9 indented in it. The Arctic Wolf family ate it up hungrily. Lostfairy was already dressed in Gazelle Horns, a Designer Skirt, and Elf Bracelets. Da was dressed in a Black Mechanical Angel Helmet, Black Leaf Necklace, Black Worn Blanket, and Black Elf Bracelets. The girls had not gotten out of their pajamas yet, so they went upstairs to do so. Capuccino found a RIM Headdress, a Purple Long Spiked Collar, a Purple Worn Blanket, and Purple Elf Bracelets on her bed, and she put them on. She also found a purple fur spray and sprayed it on her "secondary color". She waited patiently for Marissa to finish, who was given a RIM Headfeather, A Silver Spiked Collar, a Leap Year Worn Blanket, and Purple Elf Cuffs. She looked like a miniature version of her older sister. The two walked out of their room and downstairs to greet their parents. "You two look beautiful!" Lostfairy said. "ya" Said Da. "Go take a look in the mirror!" Capuccino went to the mirror in the bathroom and gasped, realizing she was wearing a headdress and spiked collar. In all the districts, only very respected people wore headdresses, and the RIM version was very expensive. However, many districts wore spiked collars and wristbands, as they were symbolized as a sign of wealth among all. To wear a rare black long spiked collar would show that you are extremely wealthy, and many people would flock around you. She didn't mind the elf bracelets. District 4 loved elf bracelets. They were like a sacred item. Most of the time, you would wear elf bracelets to big events. Unless, of course, you had a spiked wristband. "MOM! WHY DID YOU GET ME A HEADDRESS AND SPIKE? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW EXPENSIVE THEY ARE?" Capuccino shouted. Usually, one would be proud to show these off. Capuccino, however, did not approve of how much they costed. "Sweetheart, your father and i have been saving up to get these for you." Lostfairy explained. "But-" "No buts."Lostfairy interrupted. "Just wear them and act natural." Capuccino sighed. She didn't like standing out. "Chop chop, We have to get to the Reaping!" Lostfairy said. The family walked to the town square, where the marketplace stalls had cleared out. Most groups had already arrived in the designated area, and Mum and Da had went to stand with the other parents.
"Just go stand with the other 13s." Capuccino told her sister. She nodded and went to stand nervously with them. Capuccino padded over to the other 17's. Just as she had predicted, a huge group of other 17's immediately flocked around her, but she ignored them. As soon as a rather large arctic wolf with a Z on his "mane" walked onto the stage, everyone was silent. He turned the microphone on with one of his front paws and coughed to get everyone's attention. "Happy Jamaa Games, District 4!"He said loudly in a deep voice. "If you didn't know already, I am Zarfy,and the time has come to select one courageous man and woman." Everyone between 12 and 18 shivered nervously. "Now ladies first, Mayor Gummy, would you like to pick?" Mayor GummyTheWolf shook his head. "Well then, I'll pick our first tribute." Zarfy reached his paw into a glass bowl...

DeleteAfter moving his paw around a bit, one of Zarfy's claws caught a small slip of paper. He pulled it out and unfolded it. "Capuccinocoffee Doge." Capuccino's whole family gasped. As she stood up, they all parted around her, wishing they were Capuccino. While it may not be the same in other districts, The Career Districts were proud to be chosen, as they were most likely to win. She walked onto the stage and sat down beside Zarfy. "So, District 4, This lovely lady is our female tribute. Capuccino, is it?" "Yes." Capuccino told him. "How do you feel about getting picked?" It was the same question Zarfy asked every year, to every tribute, as did all the other Capitol Supervisors. " A bit nervous, i guess." She told him. "That's alright. Now, Gummy, you can take the honors of choosing our male tribute." And so Gummy reached his paw into the other glass bowl. The mayor of District 4 was a handsome young fellow who didn't like to talk much.
He took out a slip and read, " Wootmoo Rare." Wootmoo came from a very wealthy family. The wolf wore a solid blue top hat, a blue long spiked collar, blue Wings, a Legendary Glove, and blue and black Elf Tail Armor. Most of his family had much favored the color Blue, and Woot carried on the tradition. He strutted up to the stage and whispered to Capuccino "You've go rares. I like you" Capuccino looked at him awkwardly. " So, Wootmoo, are you excited to be in The Jamaa Games? Oh wait, of course you are, you're from the Rare family." "Rude much?" Woot said under his breath. Many Rares had been in the Jamaa Games, and most of them had won, so naturally, everyone else assumed Woot would win. "Well, District 4, Here are your tributes for the 123rd Jamaa Games!" He took their paws and raised them in the air together.

ReplyDeleteThe two tributes were taken to the train station, their families trailing behind. " Three minutes." A peacekeeper said and let the families spend their final moments together. "I've got your memory for you" Lostfairy told Capuccino. Every tribute was allowed to take something small from their district as a memory. Lostfairy took something small from her neck and put it in Capuccino's paw. She looked at it and realized it was a necklace with circle charm attached, and inside that circle was a picture of Mira. "One of your great ancestors was in the Jamaa Games. The man who she loved made this necklace for her, and it has been passed down for generations. Now it is your turn." "Thank you." Capuccino whispered. She clutched the necklace in her paw, but couldn't wear it at the moment. Peacekeepers quickly moved the family away, and Capuccino and WootMoo were pushed in the train.

"What was your memory?" Woot asked Capuccino. "A necklace" She told him. "Mine was a diamond" He took a large diamond out of his top hat. "How did your family even get that?" Capuccino asked. "I don't know. But it's super big, and probably super expensive." "Hey, no need to brag." "Hmph." You could tell that Woot and Caps were not off to a good start. Then Zarfy came in. "Are you ready to meet your mentor?" He didn't wait for an answer. He motioned for them to follow him, and they did as asked. "Pushy much?" Capuccino said, but not loudly enough for Zarfy to hear her." For once, I actually agree with you." Woot said. They realized their mentors were looking at them. "I know one of them is Snowyclaw, but who's he?" Woot wondered out loud. "'He' Is Bruizer, Nice to meet you." The Arctic Wolf with a clover blanket said. "The guy who won buy luring the other person off a cliff with a potato? Oh, I remember him!" Woot exclaimed. "So that's how people remember me?" Bruizer facepawed. "Well, Anywho, Snowyclaw and Bruizer are your mentors." Zarfy said firmly.

DeleteCaps rolled her eyes. Sadly, she couldn't do anything about it.
"Welp, Let's have dinner. I hope they have potatoes!"Bruizer exclaimed. He was a foodie.
"Of course you want potatoes."Now it was Snowy's turn to roll her eyes. She had been through this drill many times. The five walked to another car, where dinner was being served. There were extravagant dishes everywhere. Bruizer filled his plate with all sorts of potatoes. Normal potatoes, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, anything that had potatoes in it, Bruizer got it. Snowy took a large bowl of borscht, a delicious soup the Capitol had obtained from unknown countries. Zarfy put zucchini, ziti, and zwieback onto his plate. Woot took anything that was rarely seen. Caps took steak, borscht, and corn. For drinks, Bruizer took potato juice. Snowy took hot cocoa. Zarfy got some zucchini juice. Woot got a rare drink. Caps got some cappuccino mixed with coffee

DeleteThey all ate peacefully until Snowyclaw said,
"All you like is potatoes, Bruizer. I don't get it."
"Maybe some people have different tastes." Bruizer replied, offended.
"But it's weird! Imagine if all someone wanted was a food starting with a certain letter!"
"someone on this very table TOTALLY doesn't eat only foods that start with Z." Zarfy said sarcastically. Everyone ignored him.
"All you eat is stuff from unknown countries!"
"I do not!"
"Where's the stuff on your plate from then?"
"Uh..."
"Hey, look! Shiiiiiny!" Woot took his diamond out of his top hat and waved it around everyone.
"SHIIINY!" Everyone said at once.
"You will now forget about this and continue eating peacefully." Woot said, waving the diamond in front of them like he was hypnotizing someone. Guess what? It worked.

DeleteAfter dinner, Caps was feeling drowsy.
"I'm going to bed."She announced.
"That's in the next car. You share with Woot."Zarfy informed her.
Bruizer and Snowyclaw were already a few cars over, playing video games and whatnot.
"I'll go to bed too"Wootmoo decided. So Zarfy stuffed his face with ziti and the tributes went to the next car over. They played rock paper scissors and Woot got to shower first. Turns out he didn't shower. The pampered wolf was taking a hot and steamy bubble bath when Caps walked in, desperately needing to use the bathroom. Woot, of course, was too lazy pull the shower curtains so Caps got a small glimpse of Woot playing with a rubber ducky in pink bubbles before she covered her eyes with her left front leg and screamed. Woot screamed too. They both screamed for a while.
"Wait why are we screaming" Woot finally asked.
"No idea. Now get out of the bathtub." Caps left, still covering her eyes.
"You can look now." Wootmoo was wearing a weird shirt with fish on it, and blue sweatpants. Caps went to the bathroom and used it, then took a proper short shower. After that, she wrapped herself in a steamy towel and got into a grey shirt, grey shorts, and a grey robe.

In five minutes, Woot already got out of bed.
"Ey, i'm gonna watch a few of the clips from other years(Because they have no TV shows XD)"He said. Caps nodded drowsily.The poor child did not know what wireless headphones were and so the clips were extremely loud.
"TURN IT DOWNNNNNNN"Capuccino screamed after a while, covering her ears with pillows. Woot turned the sound up. Poor Cappuccino did not get any sleep so far. Finally she took matters into her own hands and grabbed a blanket and a pillow. She marched out of the room and slept on the floor of the dining car.
